Not Normal, Exceptional!

Just because one is not normal doesn’t mean that they are defective! Each person that comes into being a member of this big Blue Planet leaves his or her mark that is unique and like nobody else’s. Peers are famous for adopting preconceived ideas of what the ideal normal person is. The problem with this is that creativity and uniqueness is lost.

Thomas Edison the inventor of the light bulb found himself in a world that labeled him defective and not normal. As history would tell, later this famous inventor would invent the light bulb, after thousands of failures. People of the times saw Thomas Edison’s actions and behavior as, “not normal.”

Thomas Edison wasn’t the only person to be labeled as not normal. Others that are famous were subjected to the same labeling. Each individual that takes a different approach at ideas, or looks different is often abused and said to be “not normal.” Uniqueness and creativity seem to lend it to these “not normal” people. Most famous artists such as DaVinci, Rembrandt, and Michelangelo found their selves being told that they were defective and “not normal”. The amazing thing about these artist is that we now identified them as the world’s most famous and celebrated artists of all time. These same men even though labeled odd and different are the same men that have set the standards for all similar styles of paintings and sculpture has to be judged by. Their techniques and styles made them different or “not normal.”

Without people that presented new ideas, concepts etc., we would be a world that just had clones living on a Blue Ball in Space. Uniqueness is not weird or “not normal” it is exactly that Unique! When society finally reaches a state that allows individuals to accept other individuals for their differences, creativity and inventiveness will explode. People who are unique will be allowed to express their ideas, and concepts, and even look different without the fear of labeling. The results will undoubtedly be a revolution of inventions the world has never seen. There is no such thing as “not normal.”
